Since 2015, Marvel has been partnering with adidas to bring its superhuman and otherworldly characters into the world of footwear. In anticipation of the release of “Spider-Man 2” for the PlayStation 5, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, Marvel, has reimagined three different footwear models: the Ultra 4D, UltraBOOST J, and the Adizero 12.0 football cleat.
Inspired by Peter Parker’s Symbiote Suit, these shoes incorporate Spider-Man’s iconic red and blue color scheme, along with Venom’s pitch-black tone. The PRIMEKNIT uppers on the Ultra 4D feature Spider-Man logos, while the 3D-printed outsoles, using adidas’ 4D technology, take on the appearance of the Venom symbiote’s takeover, contrasting with the vibrant colors above. In addition to the footwear, there are sweatshirts, compression tights, and other items available for both gamers and non-gamers. Furthermore, in the “Spider-Man 2” video game launching on October 20th, you can expect to find in-game adidas-branded products on some of the virtual citizens.
The adiZero 12.0 football cleat is another part of this collection, designed with a similar aesthetic to the Ultra 4D.
You can get a sneak peek at this exciting collaboration. The Peter Parker Advanced Suit and Venom collection will be accessible through the adidas app, online, in physical stores, and at select retailers starting on October 20th. A select group of PlayStation Plus members will receive an email from PlayStation on Tuesday, October 3rd, with instructions on how to secure a pair ahead of time.
